Though raspberry leaf is regularly sold as an aid for hormonal mares (and human females) due to its high magnesium content, it can also be used as a calming additive to horse feeds, or served as a hot or cold tea to their human counterparts.
Raspberry leaves are an excellent, bio-available source of magnesium as well as selenium, calcium, iron and more! It makes a wonderful addition to any equine diet!
Average serving size is ½ cup a day though some horses may need as little as 2 tbs a day. Dosage is based on overall diet and energy levels of horse.
A small percentage of horses may see increases in energy levels on raspberry leaves. If energy levels are too high, decrease dosage or discontinue use.
