Sea Kelp Granules
Feed grade vs Human grade, what is the difference? As far as I can tell, human grade is powdered and feed grade is granule. They both come from the same places (Antartica) and are handled by the same processors. The ingredients are the same..kelp! Both are readily accepted by my horses and both are very consistent. Feed grade is just a bit less expensive.
Kelp provides over 45 vitamins and minerals, including iodine. If you feed kelp, be careful when providing a mineral block with added iodine. Horses may use 1-2 ounces (or 2-4 TBS)of kelp a day (depending on weight) Please use much smaller doses for minis!
Kelp is a vital part of our Iron Horse, Iron Hoof and All In One recipes!
